RTR Outreach Fund
The RTR Outreach Fund was established by Rivertown Runners to help in the distribution of funds to local organizations that support the mission and goals of Rivertown Runners.
Funds are distributed to local organizations and charities that promote and support health education, healthy lifestyles as well as provide for the needs of the community.
Since our inception more than $650,000 has been donated to community organizations and scholarships.
The Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown and Ossining recipients include the Kids’ Club of Tarrytown & Sleepy Hollow, the Y at Tarrytown, the Community Food Pantry in Tarrytown, RSHM LIFE Center, Neighborhood House in Tarrytown, the Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown Fire Departments, the Sleepy Hollow Ambulance Corps, Restoring the Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse, the Community Opportunity Center, Friends of the OCA, Friends of Rockefeller Preserve, Ossining Food Pantry, Warner Library, It Takes a Village, along with the Girl and Boy Scouts of America.
The RTR Outreach Fund has provided playground equipment for the village park, yoga classes for the elderly, dance classes, sent numerous children to summer camp while also supporting the food pantry. In addition RTR Outreach provides a college scholarship to a male and female track scholar athlete.
The RTR Outreach Fund thanks all the race volunteers, sponsors, runners, and the members of Rivertown Runners for their continued support. The RTR Outreach Board Members are Tom Kucinski, Jim Huvane, Laura Murray, Claire Heckestad and Jackie Vanover.
